Abstract:

In this thesis, I study computational issues surrounding the testing of various theories of choice behaviour. I provide algoritms for testing several theories and establish their theoretical computational complexity. In particular, this thesis contains work on testing theories of utility maximization for single decision makers, theories of collective decision making and theories of stochastic preferences.
