Abstract:

Keynote at the 11th meeting of the ESF Thematic Network on Employment. Topic: Job Carving & Job Crafting. These are innovative approaches to adapt workplaces and/or to create new ones. Job carving refers to the practice of rearranging work tasks within a company to create tailor-made employment opportunities, while job crafting refers to the practice of employees designing their tasks and work processes themselves. The rearrangements (i.e. workplace innovations) can lead to new job opportunities and add value to all involved, the enterprises, the employees and persons re-entering the labour market LTU, persons with disabilities, older workers, women, migrants etc.).
