Abstract: Distributed systems are dynamic in nature. In a distributed architecture nodes can be removed or added, new connections can be established or lost. Due to those changes and also due to the interactions, through exchanged messages, in distributed systems [1] not all faults can be eliminated at design time through verification, validation and testing. The fault management mechanisms should adapt their actions at run-time in the context of this dynamic behavior.
