Abstract:

Equilibrium trap-controlled and hopping mobility of polarons in disordered materials is calculated analytically. It is shown that, irrespective of both the transport mode and the density-of-states distribution, the activation energy of the equilibrium carrier mobility is a sum of the activation energy as calculated for the same density-of-states distribution without the polaronic effect, and one half of the polaron binding energy. © 2002 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
