Abstract:

Presentation based on two Audio Visual installations as part of the project 'Mudcloth and the making of social and artistic fabric. The interrelation between ritual, artistic and collective textile making, departing from a Senufo context (Burkina Faso, Mali). The project wants to create a deeper understanding of the contemporary evolutions in the making and wearing processes of mudcloth, and to document and visualize these practices.
