This paper will report how Ranulph Glanville learned about Sint-Lucas faculty of Architecture (KU Leuven), how he got involved and how he intensely and actively contributed to the research climate and research developments of the school. The paper reflects on the importance of his contributions as well as the heritage for the future. It concludes with some statements by some researchers on how they valued his contributions and how they perceived the loss when he died.
