Abstract:

Too often, design festival addresses only the «creative society». The making of PARCKFARM aims to impact upon the strategic development of Thurns and Taxis, challenging its spatial, social and economic border condition through the active involvement of locals, artists, farmers and international designers. Relying upon top down mechanisms and bottom-up local initiatives the provisional success of Parckfarm is a test for a Common Brussels.
