Abstract: This paper aims to compute the high- frequency parameters of an inset permanent magnet synchronous machine. A homogenization technique for the computation of the eddy currents and the iden- tification of the d-q model at high-frequency of the synchronous machine are briefly recalled. The simula- tion strategy for the Inset PM motor is introduced. A comparison between the high-frequency parameters is highlighted considering 2D and 3D models of the machine in order to validate the homogenization tech- nique. Different operating conditions are considered: both at no load and under load. Good agreement has been found between 2D and 3D results.
