Abstract:

This study investigated the phenomenon of emotional acculturation in a large sample of minority youth in Belgium. As expected, minority youth’s emotional fit to the Belgian culture was associated with their degree of exposure to the Belgian culture. Moreover, this association was more pronounced for socially disengaging than engaging situations.
