Charge-order and phase coexistence in Bi1/2Sr1/2MnO3

We present high-resolution neutron and synchrotron powder diffraction, magnetotransport and magnetization measurements on Bi1/2Sr1/2MnO3. We report that, for the whole range of temperature 1.5 K less than or equal to T less than or equal to 300 K, the system presents the coexistence of two phases, both displaying orbital ordering, and that at least one of the phases presents charge order.
