Abstract: In januari 2010 the 'Extended Drawing' PHD project was submitted within the faculty's doctoral program. The project officially departed on its venture in september 2010. In a nutshell, 'extended drawing' is an inquiry into image manipulations of embryonic (design) drawings and whether the treatment of these expressions is able to reveal new spatial content. In order to explore its thesis, the project defined several several research tools: drawing rudiments (basic movements within architectural drawing), the exploration of 'Extended Drawings' (a series of drawing expressing the project's thesis), Installing an MWMWorkshop (a studio space to extend the drawing) and delineating a theoretical framework based upon the the practical implications of the afore mentioned tools. The project both has a personal as an educational component, and all the different tools and components work together to inspire each other's elaboration. What follows is to be considered as work in progress, an account of some of the things which are currently shaping the projects and its thinking.
