Abstract: This abstract presents the application of the Wave Based Method to model and optimise
two-dimensional (coupled) acoustic and rigid frame poroelastic domains with a periodic set
of inclusions. The existing multilevel concept for bounded Wave Based domains containing
inclusions is extended such that Bloch-Floquet conditions are satised. The pressure inside
the innite acoustic domains is represented using a set of Floquet modes. As the method
is meshless, it lends itself for optimisation problems, without restrictions on inclusion
