Abstract: This article presents a study of the Aristotelian treatise "De Nilo" or "De inundatione Nili", which is only extant in a medieval Latin translation. Although there are several editions available, this article presents numerous improvements to their text based on the study of supplementary manuscript material. The translator of the treatise is identified as William of Moerbeke. The author also argues that the original Greek text might have been a genuine study by Aristotle.
