Abstract:
We constructed a Time Gated-STimulated Emission Depletion (or short tg-STED) microscope. STED microscopy breaks the paradigm of optical diffraction and thus with the limited optical resolution of a microscope. Nanoscience requires nanoscopy: we study the flow behaviour of nanomaterials in 2D and 3D. Rheology has much to gain from fluorescence microscopy. Future work will focus on colloidal interactions and related phenomena.
