Abstract: The promulgation of the codification of Stephan Dušan in 1349 introduced a juridical system based on Greek-roman law in the Serbian-Byzantine empire. The Code of Dušan 1349-1354, the Law of the emperor Justinian and the Abridged syntagma of Matthew Blastares are the three parts of the imperial legislation and must be analysed in a close connection. The volume contains the Italian translation of the text of the Code of Dušan 1349-1354 and a glossary of the juridical terms.
