Abstract: For more than thirty years, ever since the publication of ASB in 1980, the production of Common Worship has been a major task for the Liturgical Commission of the Church of England. Such a prodigious effort is greatly to be admired for its clarity of goal, its thoroughness of execution and relatively speedy delivery. A masterful stroke in CW is the focus of all liturgical ministries, all prayer, all sacraments and mission in the dignity of Christian baptism.
