Abstract: This double-blind, peer-reviewed collection of papers brings together eight studies generated by young scholars who participated in the 2012 CETRA Research Summer School. The papers illustrate the wide range of research areas, theoretical orientations, and methodological approaches in Translation and Interpreting Studies today. The papers deal with the translator’s visibility, translation policy in NGOs, legal standards regarding translation in healthcare, translation of subtitles in multilingual films, note-taking in consecutive interpreting, the impact of delivery on listeners’ understanding of interpreted messages, and the development of professional awareness in interpreting students. Indeed, the papers in this volume exhibit both a fascinating variety of topics and an impressive range of theoretical and methodological orientations.
