Abstract: In this contribution it will be shown that the dynamics of stakeholder management, in combination with the implementation of MCA, can be used to cope with problems of societal complexity. Special attention will be given to the design of the value structure that is instrumental for this purpose. Several alternative approaches will be contrasted, such as the traditional value structure versus the multi-actor value structure (used in MAMCA). Regarding the latter, different methods for exploring (or aggregating) stakeholder objectives will be discussed and illustrated using real-life case-studies.
