Abstract: Strategic management is relevent for every business, including family businesses. Family businesses may have some 'natural strategic advantages' such as the continuity when management is transferred to a new generation, financial autonomy and lower indebtedness, and the possibility to develop a long erm vision. However these advantages may become disadvantages as well. Not only the family business but as well the business family need to develop and implement a strategy.
