The article offers a critical analysis of five anthologies in the series 'Poëziespektakel'. More precisely, it tries to answer the question what the impact of the series is for the development of children's poetry in the Netherlands and in how far it managed to stimulate new talent. First it offers a quantitative analysis of the backgrounds of the poets. Then it enters into a critical analysis of the form and the content of the poems, looking for innovatory tendencies.
