Abstract: Infiltrating lobular cancer is known for its diffuse growth pattern and difficult radiological visualization. Based on this review, infiltrating lobular cancer patients do not have a higher local recurrence risk after breast conserving therapy. Lobular histology should also be considered as a separate prognostic factor in favour of referral for radiotherapy after mastectomy.
