Abstract: This is the report of the mission to Kenya & Tanzania (May 2012). The evaluation is coordinated by ACE Europe en covers an analysis of the extent to which the planned results have been achieved for the North and South part of the programme. Specific attention is given to the capacity building of the development offices and of the local educational centres, the extent to which the educational centres manage to guarantee the access to vocational and technical training for the specific target groups, the extent to which the quality and the relevance of the training is improved, and the extent to which students are guided towards the world of work. For the Northern part of the evaluation 8 schools are visited, during which different teachers, students and the management have been interviewed. For the Southern programmes three field missions were executed (DR Congo, Ecuador, and Kenya), during which each time the development offices and local centres were visited. The findings of the field visits were validated with other Via DOn Bosco countries via an online survey. HIVA was responsible for the mission to Keny (and Tanzania), en for part of the evaluation of the North programme.
