Colloque CIRICU Infirmité Motrice Cérébrale edition:7 location:Brussels date:18 November 2012
Despite the growing evidence of medical interventions for children with spastic cerebral palsy (CP), only limited
studies have been published on the evaluation and treatment of dyskinetic CP. This can be understood in view of
the complexity and changing nature of dyskinetic CP. There is also a lack of a sensitive measurement addressing
both the dystonic and choreoathetosis group of dyskinetic CP. Therefore a new clinical tool was developed, the
Dyskinesia Impairment Scale (DIS). The aims of this study were to evaluate reliability and validity of the DIS.
