Abstract: We present the case of a 50-year-old patient in whom an anastomotic biliary stricture after liver transplantation was treated endoscopically by sphincterotomy, dilatation and stenting using a plastic biliary stent. A distal migration of the stent caused a perforation of the rectum which was treated following stent extraction per anum conservatively with antibiotics and temporary bowel rest.
