Abstract:

This special issue Biomass valorization to energy and value added chemicals is dedicated to the 6th European Meeting on Chemical Industry and Environment – EMChIE 2010. After a thorough peer-review process, nine papers were accepted, all focusing on biomass-to-energy or biomass-to-value-added-chemicals processes. The topics include thermochemical as well as microbial conversion techniques and hence cover a wide area of approaches.
