This article discusses the extant manuscripts of Fransceco Filelfo’s unedited Commentationes Florentinae de Exilio, several of which have never been the subject of scholarly study. They include Vat. lat. 5913, which is the only manuscript to preserve the first redaction of the text, and the important ms 741 of the Paris Arsenal library, which proves to be the source of most of the recentiores and is also an almost identical twin to the well-known ms II II 70 of the Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale in Florence.
