Abstract: A new experimental set-up for laser-induced opto-acoustic calorimetry in solid films has been developed. This design allows application of laser-induced opto-acoustic calorimetry for the investigation of thin films. The method is based on a comparison of the signal of a sample with that of a reference, and possible reference systems are discussed.
