Abstract: This paper presents a view on environmental improvement potential of sheet metal working processes at unit process as well as system level. First, results and impact reducing measures for two case studies at unit process level are included. Furthermore impact reduction opportunities at system level are sketched and exergy metrics are briefly discussed.
