Higher Education Research & Evaluation vol:5 pages:70-74
In this paper the authors present a multidisciplinary scientific project that was recently introduced into the curriculum of the Bachelor in Industrial Sciences as an example of project-based education. Within the project, students carried out a multidisciplinary assignment co-operating in a project group under the supervision of a project coach. They solve a realistic and relevant professional problem resulting in a concrete specified final product. The educational framework of the course is described as well as the project assessment system. This process evaluation focuses on the development of six generic competences which become more important in the professional career of an engineer. Finally, the authors highlight some improvements for the near future.
