A 20-year old patient with severe abdominal pain and ascites
We report the medical history of a 20-year-old female who presented with severe abdominal pain and ascites. The peritpheral blood count showed significantly increased eaosionophils and abdominal CT-scan showed wall thickening of the ileum with large amount of ascites. This patient was diagnosed with primary eosinophilic gastroenteritis. After corticosteroid therapy the patient remained symptom-free.
