Abstract: Vascular complications associated with placement of cannulated screws for fractures are very rare and estimated to occur in less than 1% of cases using external fixation.(1) These vascular iatrogenic lesions are mostly arterial thromboses associated with distal ischemia and pseudoaneurysms with potential to embolize, to compress the adjacent vein, or to rupture. Therefore, treatment is mandatory and classically consists of surgical reconstruction of the injured vessel. Recently, some minimally invasive, image-guided techniques are developed to treat definitively iatrogenic vascular injury, in particular iatro-genic, arterial pseudoaneurysms.(2)
