Abstract: In comparison to other cells involved in the hepatic immune response, dendritic cells in human liver tissue have received remarkably little attention. In view of their presence in normal liver, and their multiple immunological functions, it can be anticipated that dendritic cells are involved in viral, autoimmune and rejection immune responses of the human liver.
