ECCH (European Case Clearing House - Cranfield University)
The case describes the successful growth and internationalization strategy of Belgian Creyf’s interim business (temporary labor services) under the leadership of Mr. Van Hemele, new Ceo installed by the new institutional shareholders (Ackermans & Van Haren) after initial internationalization debacles which nearly bankrupted the original family company. It describes the ‘not me too’ –strategy of this player in an industry increasingly dominated by a few large European and even world players (cf our earlier cases and industry note on Vedior and the Temp business, ref. Below).
