The paper presents results of a study on soil susceptibility to wind erosion (deflation), performed in a model object (10 experimental plots of different kinds of soil in black fallow) with simulated wind.
Quantitative analyses confirmed considerable differentiation between soil kinds and showed strong dependency of erosion upon soil texture and initial soil humidity. The non-linear exponential regression models showed a good fit of a formula that related unit 1-hour deflation to the initial soil humidity, wind speed and introduced texture factor.
