Abstract: When studying expression profiles by means of real time qPCR, there is a great need for accurate normalisation of the acquired data. Since the ultimate housekeeping gene does not exist, a severe selection of multiple housekeeping genes – specifically chosen for the experimental conditions – must be performed. Using the geNorm method described by Vandesompele et al., six candidate housekeeping genes were tested for their stability of expression during the course of a 24h-day (LD 12:12).
