Abstract:

In december 2005 new guidelines on cardiopulmonary resuscitation have been published by the European Resuscitation Council. These guidelines are derived from the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation consensus document on resuscitation. We describe the main changes in the chain of survival, basic life support and advanced life support.
