Abstract: Transmission electron microscopy of the polycrystalline natural diamond, carbonade, reveals the existence of voidites, different from the voidites in type Ia natural diamonds, not only in their shape but also in their content and their origin. There is evidence that one group of voidites with an unusual shape is formed at grain boundaries, while a second group of voidites with the usual shape forms along dislocation lines.
