Abstract: Cardiac magnetic resonance images often consist of
a stack of cine short-axis images extended with two
intersecting cine long-axis images. The slice
thickness of the short-axis images is quite large,
yielding a “multiple 2D” rather than a true 3D image.
In this study a new registration-based interpolation
method was developed to obtain one truly 3D image
per timeframe.
