Abstract: In this paper we revisit the work of DuMouchel and Jones (1994) and combine their Bayesian D-optimality procedure with the Bayesian update procedure of Jones and DuMouchel (1996) in a two-stage design strategy. The resulting Bayesian D-MF procedure is robust against departures from an assumed model whilst allowing good fit of the assumed model. The procedure is then compared to existing designs and recommendations are made on their implementation.
