Abstract: More elaborate methods exist to determine the EM fields of moving objects. Not many moment method solvers have this option, but with UTD it is within reach of the modern computers. However, for some particular applications, the procedures can be simplified to quantise easily the near-fields around moving objects. Two methods will be compared. The first consists in a simplified Physical Optics method, and the second does make use of the flat wedge approximation in UTD.
It will be applied to the problem of determining the reflected field of a wind turbine.
