Abstract:

A methodology combining in-flight data with vibro-acoustic system data into an optimization procedure was developed to predict the performance of structural acoustical control systems and optimize the actual configurations in terms of number and location of sensors and actuators. The optimization was performed to the case of a Fokker F70/100 for a maximum number of 45 actuators at three engine tones. The cabin noise levels were optimized at 36 control sensors.
