Abstract: Purpose - To propose trigonometric interpolation in combination with both sliding-surface and moving-band techniques for modelling rotation in finite-element electrical machine models. To show that trigonometric interpolation is at least as accurate and efficient as standard stator-rotor coupling schemes.
